The premise behind the idea is to not wait until you reach traditional retirement age to start taking it easy. Instead you work hard for a couple of months and then take the next one off. Completely.
It would be an understatement if I said I had worked hard these last couple of months. I’ve been pushing it HARD for the last couple of years… I believe I’m due a little time off.
So, I’ve decided to take the rest of 2013 off to completely reboot my life.
What about Upcoming Projects?
Good question. I have a few in the works and they will be completed, such as:
- My London Mastermind Sessions in May.
- Attending World Domination Summit in July.
- My book “Virtual Freedom”, which is due out early next year.
Everything else is going to be put on hold.
That includes this blog, my podcast and any video blogging, too. In fact any type of online activity – including all social media, too (this I am going to miss as I enjoy conversing with you all, but I’m going to enjoy the additional time it creates in my daily life, even more – thats for sure!)
It also includes all speaking agreements, too. I’ve cancelled them all.
Why Now, Chris..?
Simple. I’m tired.
I re-read the 4HWW this weekend and realized that all the outsourcing in the world wasn’t going to bring enough calm to the storm that has become my life…
I deserve a break ad I’m gonna take one.
Besides, I’m gonna need to be fully recharged when I become a father for the 4th time in October!!!
It’s going to be interesting to see what I spend my time on. I mean, I still have three companies that I’m accountable for, hundreds of clients, thousands of blog readers and podcast listeners and over 200 full-time members of staff!
There will no doubt be a few calls with my virtual team from time to time, and of course the more important clients my companies look after – but, other than that, I’m going to have a ton of free time.
What do you think I should spend my time doing between now and the end of the year?
I’ll be happy to answer comments below, over the next couple of days, but after that… I’m outta here for a while.
Mark your calendars… April 1st, 2013 was the day Chris Ducker went on his first Mini-Retirement ever… And it’s gonna last the rest of the year!
Ducker. Out!
