I’ve been thinking a lot recently about what I want my legacy to be. What do I want people to say about me when I’m gone?
What kind of influence will I have on my kids, in regards to how they create opportunities and shape their own lives?
A little morbid, perhaps – but, lets face it… We’re all only here for a certain period of time, right?! Are we happy to just waffle through life, fundamentally wasting it? Or do we want to create something, do something that will make a difference – in any way. Doesn’t matter if it’s business related, or not.
In an effort to get to know you, my readers, viewers, visitors, etc., better than I already do (some of you more than others, obviously), I’d love to be able to hear from you on this topic. Ask yourself the following questions:
What do people say about me when I’m not in the room?
How do I want my loved ones to remember me when I’m gone?
What footprint do I want to leave in the lives of those that I meet?
Over the last few weeks I’ve received so many amazing messages from people that joined my free New Business Bootcamp course (you can, too, by clicking here!). It’s obvious that there are so many amazing people tuning into this site daily – thank you! Some of you have shared your goals and ideas, asked for advice, etc., and it’s been great interacting with you all.
Now, it’s time to get a little more serious, however.
Our Legacy – Our Vision – Our Focus
Why have I been on this ‘legacy’ tip for the last few weeks? I’m a father of three amazing kids (as you can see). I’ve also got an awesome wife and I’ve been blessed with a couple of thriving businesses, as well as other opportunities that frequently pop up. I believe these things are all interwoven. They all exist and thrive because of each other.
It’s all these things and more than allow me to continue to fine-tune my own vision. The vision that I have for my family, our businesses, as an entrepreneur, boss – you name it – all ultimately leading up to my legacy.
I’ve still not completley figured out exactly what I want my legacy to be. But, I know its important to me. It’s something that I’m going to continue to work on, as my Chief Definite Aim.
I think everyone should.
